Tigers Run Wild Against the Eagles 35-21;
From QB to RB Romero Gives Ulysses A Win

Abe Romero stepped back from center and ran wild in Ulysses's 35-21 win over Colby at home September 23.
Romero, who played quarterback the first three games of the season, stepped into a running back role and rushed for 285 yards on 24 carries. His leg work helped the Tigers wipe out a 14-7 half-time deficit. He scored 24 of Ulysses's second-half points.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak.
Zach Anderson replaced Romero at quarterback. His 46-yard touchdown pass to Julius Sifuentes gave Ulysses's a 7-0 first-quarter lead.
Romero's 45-yard third-quarter rushing TD cut the Tigers' disadvantage to 14-13. Soon after his 15-yard run gave Ulysses's the lead for good 20-14.
An 8- and 80-yard journey in the fourth completed his four touchdown day.
Anderson finished 6-of-11 passing for 102 yards.
Ulysses, now 2-2 overall and 1-2 in the GWAC, travel to Scott City September 30.
The Beavers started 2016 0-2 with losses to Hays (31-21) and Holcomb (32-13). They've rebounded the past two weeks defeating Cimarron 52-7 and Hugoton 35-7.
The Tigers have fallen to Holcomb and Hugoton.
