Rodriguez Finishes 5th in State Wrestling;
Tigers Place 34th Out of 53 KS Teams

Mario Rodriguez led five Ulysses wrestlers at the 2015 KSHSAA Class 4A Championships in Salina Feb. 27-28.
Rodriguez finished fifth at 145 with a 4-2 record.
He opened the first round with an 8-4 win over Tonganoxie's Dalton Tavis.
In the second round, Rodriguez fell 19-11 to Adam Cole of Chanute. Cole went on to place second.
Dropping into the consolations, Rodriguez defeated LaCygne's Joey Ewalt 6-0 then Olathe's Braxton McCluskey 7-1.
His run ended with an 8-3 loss to Justin Rieschick of Holton.
The Tiger recovered to decision Clay Center's Hunter Mullin 5-3 in the fifth-place match.
