Ulysses High School hosts an annual NHS Induction ceremony in the fall. Students who meet the academic requirements are invited to submit an application to become a member of NHS. If elected, they are invited to the candle induction ceremony. Led by the club officers, the new members learn about the qualities of NHS, are given NHS stoles and membership certificates, and they recite the NHS pledge to the qualities of academics, leadership, service and character. After, new members celebrate with the current members and are congratulated by faculty, friends and family.
