KMS Receives Grant From Grant County Community Foundation;
"Snack Attack Program"
September 08, 2014
Kepley Middle School was the recent recipient of a generous grant from the Grant County Community Foundation. This grant was written for Kepley¹s "Snack Attack" program. This program was created to provide snacks to the students and staff during the mid-mornings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These snacks are to help students stay focused on school work. A K-State grant allowed Kepley to create the program, and when funds ran out, KMS staff supported providing building funds to continue the program. With the reallocation of building funds, "Snack Attack" was no longer possible.
Grant County Community Foundation¹s grant will allow this program to run again and the students are extremely excited for the reinstatement of healthy snacks during the week.
GCCF members came to KMS to present the check to the Student Council, who will help dispense the snacks during the week. Pictured from KMS and GCCF
