Senior Chisholm Branscum Wins the Girls Title Second Year in a Row

Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe UHS cross country teams traveled to Scott City for the GWAC League Meet on Saturday, October 19th, 2013. The morning started out very cold and windy but the temperature slowly began to warm up as race time approached.
Senior Chisholm Branscum won the girls title for the second year in a row.
The boys’ varsity team won the GWAC championship as they raced to another exciting finish, out-sprinting Hugoton in the last 300 meters to claim the title by 1 point.
These guys have been so much fun to watch this season. They have won 6 of their 7 meets and they have all been close victories. This group of young men continue to fight and claw their way to the finish line and they truly understand our team philosophy which is “We run for something bigger than ourselves.”
Our next meet will be regionals, at McPherson, on Saturday, October 26th.
