Graduation Requirements

The Class of 2010 will require 26 units of credits of which 16 are required. The balance of the credits will come from electives. We encourage students to gear their programs in accordance with graduation as well as post-graduation plans. The requirements are as follows:

A. Upon completion of the following requirements:

Class of 2010 - 26 units of credits including 16 units of required & 10 electives.  

1. Language Arts
4 credits
2. Social Science 3 credits, which include one credit of American History and one credit of Government
3. Laboratory Science 3 credits
4. Mathematics 3 credits
5. Physical Education and Health 1/2 credit of each
6. Computer Technology 1 credit
7. Fine arts 1 credit
8. Electives 10 credits
 

B. Upon successful completion of a Special Alternative Graduation Plan.

All graduates of (A) or (B) shall receive the same diploma. A modified curriculum will be denoted on transcripts of students completing (B).

Foreign Exchange Students will not receive a high school diploma, but will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance.


Kansas Board of Regents Recommended Curriculum  

 

4 units of English
3 units of Math
3 units of Social Studies
3 units of Science (must be Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
2 units of Foreign Language


Kansas Board of Regents Qualified Admissions

4 units of English
3 units of Math
3 units of Social Science
3 units of Natural Science (at least one credit in Chemistry or Physics)
1 unit of Computer technology

or you must have a composite ACT score of 21 or above
or you must graduate in the top third of your class (GPA) *see counselor for specific class descriptions
